College of Pharmacy, Pre-Pharmacy Curriculum
For students attending classes at Arizona Western College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. Admission into the professional phase of the pharmacy program is very competitive and requires the completion of the pre-pharmacy curriculum. A maximum of 72 units of community college credit may be applied toward a bachelors degree program at The University of Arizona. ADMISSION INFORMATION REGARDING THE COLLEGE OF PHARMACY
Admission into the College of Pharmacy at The University of Arizona is selective and competitive. Applicants for admission to the College of Pharmacy must first meet the general admission requirements to The University of Arizona. General admission to the University does not guarantee admission to the professional phase of the pharmacy program. Although the College of Pharmacy does admit out-of-state residents, preference is given to Arizona residents. Students are only admitted into the College of Pharmacy once each year for the fall semester. All science prerequisites must be completed the spring semester prior to being admitted. Students are highly encouraged to contact the College of Pharmacy for advising assistance and to ensure timely completion of the pre-pharmacy course requirements.
Application for admission to the College of Pharmacy should be initiated a year before the anticipated admission date. The deadline for application is mid-January of the year for which admission is sought. Requirements for application to the College of Pharmacy include:
