Bachelor of Science in Geosciences

For students attending classes at Arizona Western College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 72 units of community college credit may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. Refer to The University of Arizona 1995-97 General Catalog or contact the Office of Academic Services in the College of Arts and Sciences (621-3336) for additional information.

GENERAL EDUCATION SKILLS AND PROFICIENCIES

ENGLISH--6 units

MATHEMATICS--3 units
This requirement may be fulfilled by completing the mathematics course work listed under the major requirements.

SECOND LANGUAGE--8 units
This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the fourth semester level. Refer to
Credit by Examination in The University of Arizona 1995-97 General Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated. Course work available at Arizona Western College includes the following:

TRADITIONS AND CULTURES--9 units from List 1 and List 2
