Bachelor of Science with a major in Computer Science

For students attending classes at Cochise College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 72 units of community college credit may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. Refer to The University of Arizona 1995-97 General Catalog or contact the Office of Academic Services (621-3336) for additional information.

Admission to the computer science major is selective and competitive. CSC 227 is a pre-major requirement that is not available at Cochise College and must be completed at The University of Arizona prior to making application for admission to the major. Contact the Department of Computer Science at (621-8449) for information about admission to the major.

This course is available at Cochise College and is a requirement within the computer science major. Students may complete the course at Cochise College and apply the credit upon admission to the major.

This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the fourth semester level. Refer to Credit by Examination in The University of Arizona 1995-97 General Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated.
