Bachelor of Arts with a major in East Asian Studies
For students attending classes at Eastern Arizona College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 72 units of community college credit may be applied to a bachelors degree program at The University of Arizona. Refer to The University of Arizona 1995-97 General Catalog or contact the Office of Academic Services (621-3336) for additional information.
MAJOR REQUIREMENTS
Equivalent courses are not available at Eastern Arizona College for the major in East Asian Studies. Students should complete requirements in the general education skills and proficiencies, and study areas to best prepare for transfer and progress toward this degree. The general education second language requirement may be fulfilled by completing the major requirements at The University of Arizona.

College algebra is the minimum mathematics requirement. One of the following higher level mathematics courses may be substituted:

This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the fourth semester level. Refer to Credit by Examination in The University of Arizona 1995-97 General Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated. This requirement may be fulfilled by completing the major requirements at the UA.
