For students attending classes at Pima Community College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. Admission into the professional phase of the program is very competitive and requires the completion of the pre-pharmacy curriculum. Two semesters of a spoken second language will fulfill one social science course.
**** Course is not available at Pima Community College. Chemistry 322 and 323 must be completed at The University of Arizona by the end of the spring semester prior to enrollment in the College of Pharmacy.

ADMISSION INFORMATION REGARDING THE COLLEGE OF PHARMACY
Admission into the College of Pharmacy at The University of Arizona is selective and competitive. Applicants for admission to the College of Pharmacy must first meet the general admission requirements to The University of Arizona. General admission to the University does not guarantee admission to the professional phase of the pharmacy program. Although the College of Pharmacy does admit out-of-state residents, preference is given to Arizona residents. Students are only admitted into the College of Pharmacy once each year for the fall semester. All science prerequisites must be completed the spring semester prior to being admitted. Students are highly encouraged to contact the College of Pharmacy for advising assistance and to ensure timely completion of the pre-pharmacy course requirements.
Application for admission to the College of Pharmacy should be initiated a year before the anticipated admission date. The deadline for application is mid-January of the year for which admission is sought. Requirements for application to the College of Pharmacy include:

PLEASE NOTE: STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO COMPLETE HDE 105, "TRANSFER STRATEGIES!" This course offers UA campus visits; meetings with UA staff members who represent the Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, The Center for Transfer Students and other University resources; and consultation for evaluating transfer timing. While this course is nontransferable, it does contribute to the grade point average for admission to the University. See a P.C.C. counselor/advisor about enrolling in HDE 105.
