Bachelor of Arts with a major in Russian and Soviet Studies
For students attending classes at Central Arizona College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 72 units of community college credit may be applied to a bachelors degree program at The University of Arizona. MAJOR REQUIREMENTS
Equivalent major requirements are not available at Central Arizona College for the major in Russian and the Russian and Soviet Studies. Students should complete requirements in the general education skills and proficiencies, and study areas to best prepare for transfer and progress toward this degree.

College algebra is the minimum mathematics requirement. One of the following higher level mathematics courses may be substituted:

SECOND LANGUAGE--16 units
This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the fourth semester level. Refer to Examination Policies in The University of Arizona On-line Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated. This requirement may be fulfilled by completing the major requirements at The University of Arizona.

This requirement is to be satisfied by completing courses which include laboratory work. Students are strongly encouraged to take either courses in the biological sciences or courses in the physical sciences when completing this requirement.
