Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Musical Theatre

For students attending classes at Eastern Arizona College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 72 units of community college credit may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. An audition is required the semester prior to enrollment for placement in the Theatre Arts Department at The University of Arizona.

MAJOR REQUIREMENTS

Musical theatre majors must complete a minimum of eight units of course work in private voice instruction. In addition, course work in conducted ensembles or musical productions is required.

• THC 110, 140, 141, 200 or 201, 210, 231

College algebra is the minimum mathematics requirement. One of the following higher level mathematics courses may be substituted:

A course may not be used to fulfill requirements in more than one study area.
