Bachelor of Science with a major in Mathematics
For students attending classes at the Maricopa County Community Colleges and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 72 units of community college credit may be applied to a bachelors degree program at The University of Arizona. - Linear Algebra -- MAT 225
* The Calculus sequences [MAT220, MAT231 and MAT241] OR [MAT220, MAT230 and MAT241] OR [MAT221, MAT231 and MAT241] OR [MAT221, MAT231 and MAT241] are equivalent to one another. Transfer of an entire sequence is recommended.
GENERAL EDUCATION SKILLS AND PROFICIENCIES
ENGLISH--6 units

MATHEMATICS--3 units
This requirement may be fulfilled by completing the mathematics course work listed under the major requirements.SECOND LANGUAGE--16 units
This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the fourth semester level. Refer to Examination Policies in The University of Arizona On-line Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated. Course work available at the Maricopa County Community Colleges includes the following. For Arabic, Chinese, Hebrew, Japanese or Sign Language sequences, a placement test may be required to appropriately place students or to satisfy fourth semester proficiency.
