Bachelor of Science in Renewable Natural Resources

For students attending classes at Yavapai College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. The School of Renewable Natural Resources offers an undergraduate major in Wildlife, Watershed and Rangeland Resources with options in Fisheries Science, Rangeland Science and Management, Watershed Hydrology and Management, and Wildlife Science. The baccalaureate Landscape Architecture degree is being phased out by 1998. No new students will be admitted into the program. A maximum of 72 units hours of community college credit may be applied to a bachelor’s degree at The University of Arizona. Refer to The University of Arizona On-line Catalog or contact the Instruction Office in the College of Agriculture (621-3611) or the chairman of Undergraduate Studies in the School of Renewable Natural Resources (621-7280) for additional information.

STUDY AREAS
Select course work from five of the six study areas listed below. In order to meet general education requirements, students must include BIOLOGICAL AND LIFE SCIENCES and PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES and INDIVIDUALS, SOCIETIES AND INSTITUTIONS among the five study areas selected and must complete all courses listed in these three study areas. A minimum of 32 units is required in the five study areas selected.

3. PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES--8 units

4. INDIVIDUALS, SOCIETIES AND INSTITUTIONS--6 units

* The remaining units in this category include a course in natural resource economics offered by the UA.

5. NON-WESTERN CIVILIZATIONS--3 units

6. ARTS, LITERATURE AND LANGUAGE--6 units
