Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics For students attending classes at Central Arizona College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work may be applied to a bachelors degree program at The University of Arizona. Refer to The UA Desert Lynx On-line Catalog or contact the Office of Academic Services (621-3336) for additional information. SECOND LANGUAGE -- This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the fourth semester level. MAJOR REQUIREMENTS
Calculus is a prerequisite to upper-division core economics courses. Economics students are encouraged to take additional mathematics courses. Students interested in graduate study in economics should take MAT 220 and, if possible, MAT 230 and 240.
