Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences

For students attending classes at Cochise College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. Refer to The UA Desert Lynx On-line Catalog or contact the Office of Academic Services (621-3336) for additional information. Freshman Composition--6 credits
Humanities and Fine Arts--6 credits
Biological and Physical Sciences--8 credits
Mathematics--3-5 credits
Social and Behavioral Sciences--6 credits
Information Literacy--3 credits
General Education Elective--1-3 credits

SECOND LANGUAGE -- This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the second semester level. Refer to Examination Policies in The UA Desert Lynx On-line Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated. Course work available at Cochise College includes the following:

  • FRE 101, 102
  • GER 101, 102
  • LAT 101, 102
  • SPA 101, 102

MAJOR REQUIREMENTS

Biology--8 credits
  • BIO 201, 202
Mathematics--5-6 credits
  • MAT 151 and
  • MAT 172 or 182 or 220 or PSY 250

Eight credits of laboratory science courses are required in addition to the biology courses listed above. Refer to the biological and physical sciences area in the AGEC-S for a list of options.
