Bachelor of Science with a major in Computer Science

For students attending classes at Eastern Arizona College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. Refer to The UA Desert Lynx On-line Catalog or contact the Office of Academic Services (621-3336) for additional information. Freshman Composition--6 credits
Humanities and Fine Arts--9 credits
Biological and Physical Sciences--8-10 credits
Mathematics--4-5 credits (MAT 220)
Social and Behavioral Sciences--9 credits

SECOND LANGUAGE -- This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the second semester level. Refer to Examination Policies in The UA Desert Lynx On-line Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated. Course work available at Eastern Arizona College includes the following:

  • FRE 101, 102
  • GER 101, 102
  • SPA 101, 102

PRE-MAJOR REQUIREMENTS -- Admission to the computer science major is selective and competitive. C SC 127B is a pre-major requirement not available at Eastern Arizona College and must be completed at The University of Arizona prior to applying for admission to the major. Contact the Department of Computer Science (621-8449) for information about admission to the major.
