Bachelor of Science with a major in Computer Science For students attending classes at the Maricopa County Community Colleges and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work may be applied to a bachelors degree program at The University of Arizona. Refer to The UA Desert Lynx On-line Catalog or contact the Office of Academic Services (621-3336) for additional information. SECOND LANGUAGE -- This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the second semester level. Refer to Examination Policies in The UA Desert Lynx On-line Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated. Course work available at the Maricopa County Community Colleges includes the following.
PRE-MAJOR REQUIREMENTS -- Admission to the computer science major is selective and competitive. The pre-major requirements must be completed before students can apply to the Department of Computer Science for acceptance to the major. Contact the Department of Computer Science (621-8449) for information about admission to the major.
