Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences

For students attending classes at Mohave Community College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. Humanities and Fine Arts--6-9 credits
Biological and Physical Sciences--8 credits

Social and Behavioral Sciences--6-9 credits

SECOND LANGUAGE -- This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the second semester level. Refer to Examination Policies in The UA Desert Lynx On-line Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated. Course work available at Mohave Community College includes the following:

  • FRE 101, 102
  • LTN 141, 142
  • SPN 101, 102

MAJOR REQUIREMENTS -- Eight credits of laboratory science courses are required in addition to the biology courses listed below. Refer to the biological and physical sciences area in the AGEC-S for a list of options.

Biology--8 credits
  • BIO 201, 202
Mathematics--6-7 credits
  • MAT 135 and select one course from MAT 201, 210
