For students attending classes at Yavapai College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. Freshman Composition--6 credits
Humanities and Fine Arts--9 credits
Biological and Physical Sciences--8 credits
Mathematics--3 credits
Social and Behavioral Sciences--9 credits

SECOND LANGUAGE -- This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the second semester level. Refer to Examination Policies in The UA Desert Lynx On-line Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated. MAJOR REQUIREMENTS -- Photography, graphic design and illustration majors require portfolio review and acceptance by the Portfolio Committee at The University of Arizona. Contact an art faculty advisor at Yavapai College for assistance in portfolio preparation and presentation. A minimum of 18 credits of art courses must be completed in residence at The University of Arizona for the major in Studio Art.
