For students attending classes at the Maricopa County
Community Colleges and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following
course work is recommended. A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work
may be applied to a bachelors degree program at The University of Arizona. Refer
to The UA General Catalog or contact the College of Fine Arts (621-1301) for additional
information. If you will not be completing this transfer guide, see the "Acceptance of Transfer Course
Work to meet UA General Education Requirements."
SECOND LANGUAGE -- This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the fourth semester level. Refer to Examination Policies in The UA General Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated. Course work available at the Maricopa County Community Colleges includes the following. For Arabic, Chinese, Hebrew, Japanese or Sign Language sequences, a placement test may be required to appropriately place students or to satisfy fourth semester proficiency.
Note: If students select Arabic, Chinese, Greek or Portuguese, the intermediate level of study may be completed upon transfer to the UA. MAJOR REQUIREMENTS Art--9 credits
