UA Pima Community College 1999-2000 transfer guide

Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a major in Medical Technology

For students attending classes at Pima Community College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. Prior to applying for formal admission to this major, interested students should register in the School of Health Professions with a major in Pre-Medical Technology. Refer to The UA General Catalog or contact Harold Potter in the Division of Medical Technology (628-7327) for additional information. Transfer students are admitted first to the pre-major and then must apply for admission to the major. Admission to the pre-major does not guarantee admission to the major. A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. If you will not be completing this transfer guide, see the "Acceptance of Transfer Course Work to meet UA General Education Requirements."

Formal admission to the School of Health Professions is required of all undergraduate students. To apply for admission to the medical technology program, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. Completion of 56 units of credit applicable to a baccalaureate degree.
  2. A cumulative grade-point average of 2.25 (4.0 scale) or higher on all college course work completed.
