Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in
Special Education, Rehabilitation, and School Psychology

For students attending classes at Pima Community College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. Refer to The UA General Catalog or contact the Office of Student and Career Services in the College of Education (Education Building, Room 247) for additional information (621-7865). A maximum of 64 credits of community college course workmay be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. Consult your advisor regarding course selection. Formal admission to the College of Education is required of all undergraduate students who wish to pursue a major in the College of Education. Admission to the College of Education is competitive. The deadlines for admission are the second Friday in September for any Spring term and the second Friday in February for any Fall term. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. Fifty-six units of credit applicable to a baccalaureate degree completed by beginning of professional program (junior year).
  2. Cumulative grade-point average of 2.50 (4.0 scale) or higher on the most current 56 credits of college course work.

PLEASE NOTE: STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO COMPLETE HDE 105, "TRANSFER STRATEGIES!" This course offers UA campus visits; meetings with UA staff members who represent the Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, The Center for Transfer Students and other University resources; and consultation for evaluating transfer timing. This course transfers to the UA as elective credit. See a P.C.C. counselor/advisor about enrolling in HDE 105.
