UA/Pima Community College Transfer Guide for 2001-02

Bachelor of Science in Engineering

For students attending classes at Pima Community College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. Refer to The UA General Catalog or contact the Dean’s Office in the College of Engineering and Mines (621-6032) for additional information. A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. Consult your advisor regarding course selection. If you will not be completing this transfer guide, see the "Acceptance of Transfer Course Work to meet UA General Education Requirements."

Freshman Composition--6 credits
Humanities and Fine Arts--6 credits
Biological and Physical Sciences--8 credits. Two science required courses from the major.
Mathematics--3 credits. Calculus required.
Social and Behavioral Sciences--9 credits. Economics required plus six credits.

PLEASE NOTE: STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO COMPLETE STU 210, "TRANSFER STRATEGIES" This course offers UA campus visits; meetings with UA staff members who represent the Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, The Center for Transfer Students and other University resources; and consultation for evaluating transfer timing. This course transfers to the UA as elective credit. See a P.C.C. counselor/advisor about enrolling in STU 210.
