UA Central Arizona College Transfer Guide 2002-03

Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts

For students attending classes at Central Arizona College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. Refer to The UA General Catalog or contact the College of Fine Arts (621-1301) for additional information. ARIZONA GENERAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM (AGEC-A)--35 credits (course lists)
Freshman Composition--6 credits
Humanities and Fine Arts--6-9 credits
Biological and Physical Sciences--8 credits
Mathematics--3 credits. MAT 140 or above required.
Social and Behavioral Sciences--6-9 credits
Oral Communication--3 credits

SECOND LANGUAGE -- This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the fourth semester level. Refer to Examination Policies in The UA General Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated. Course work available at Central Arizona College includes the following:

  • FRE 101, 102
  • SPA 101, 102, 201, 202

Note: If students select French, the intermediate level of study may be completed upon transfer to The University of Arizona.

MAJOR REQUIREMENTS -- A minimum of 18 credits of theatre arts courses must be taken in residence at The University of Arizona for the major in Theatre Arts. No more than 48 credits of theatre arts course work may be applied to this degree.
