in Health Sciences
with a major in Health Education
For students attending classes at the Maricopa County
Community Colleges and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following
course work is recommended. Students may obtain a major in health education with an option
in community health or school health education. Prior to formal admission to the School of
Health Professions, students interested in this major should register in the University
College with a major in Pre-Health Education. A maximum of 64 credits of community
college course work may be applied to a bachelors degree program at The University
of Arizona. Refer to The UA General Catalog
or contract the Health Education Program (626-7863) for additional information. If you
will not be completing this transfer guide, see the "Acceptance of Transfer Course
Work to meet UA General Education Requirements."

Formal admission to the School of Health Professions is required of all
undergraduate students. To apply, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

A cumulative grade-point average of 2.25 (4.0 scale) or higher on all college course work

In order to be eligible for enrollment in professional Education courses taught in the
College of Education, students selecting this option must meet the following requirements: |

Passing score on the Upper-Division Writing Proficiency Examination or completion of a
