Advanced Standing is required for entry to the professional phase of the BSBA degree program. The admissions process is competitive and selective. We seek students with intellectual and interpersonal abilities that will contribute to the Eller College's academic and co-curricular programs, as well as those who demonstrate strong leadership potential and have a high potential for success in the professional management field.

  • Performance in foundation courses is competitive

  • Leadership, work experience, community service, and involvement in co-curricular activities is important

  • Students must meet the application deadline - no late applications will be accepted

One of our goals is a diverse student body. Among equally qualified applicants, preference will be given to U.S. citizens and others who are otherwise qualified to hold permanent employment in the U.S.

Applicants for Eller College Advanced Standing must first meet the general admission requirements to the University of Arizona; admission to the University does not guarantee admission to Advanced Standing.

Students are strongly encouraged to meet with a pre-business advisor in the Eller College Undergraduate Programs Office to ensure all requirements are met and that they are eligible to apply. If a Pima student, check at advising office for dates when an advisor will be holding information sessions at Pima. All other transfer students can make an appointment with one of our pre-business advisors by calling (520) 621-2505.

To be eligible to apply (no guarantee of admission):

  • Admitted to the University of Arizona. All Advanced Standing decisions will be unofficial until all transcripts are deemed official by the Office of Admissions

  • Have completed a minimum of 42 units of work acceptable to the University of Arizona
