Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences
with a major in Health Education

For students attending classes at Northland Pioneer College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. Students may obtain a major in health education with an option in community health or school health education. Prior to formal admission to the School of Related Professions, students interested in this major should register in the University College with a major in Pre-Health Education. A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. Refer to The UA General Catalog or contact the Health Education Program (626-7863) for additional information. Formal admission to the School of Health Professions is required of all undergraduate students. To apply, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

A cumulative grade-point average of 2.25 (4.0 scale) or higher on all college course work completed.

In order to be eligible for enrollment in professional Education courses taught in the College of Education, students selecting this option must meet the following requirements:

Completion of a minimum of 12 credits at The University of Arizona.
Passing score on the Upper-Division Writing Proficiency Examination or completion of a Developmental Writing Workshop.
