Bachelor of Science with a major in Molecular and Cellular Biology

For students attending classes at Central Arizona College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. Freshman Composition--6 credits
Humanities and Fine Arts--6-9 credits
Biological and Physical Sciences--8 credits
Mathematics--3 credits
Social and Behavioral Sciences--6-9 credits
Oral Communication--3 credits

SECOND LANGUAGE -- This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the second semester level. Refer to Examination Policies in The UA General Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated. Course work available at Central Arizona College includes the following:

  • CHM 151*, 152*, 235, 236
Mathematics--10 credits (choose one from each of the following:)
  • MAT 220 or 221
    AND
  • MAT 230 or 231
Physics--8 units
Physics can be satisfied with EITHER:
  • PHY 261 and 262
    OR
  • PHY 201 and 202
