Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts

For students attending classes at Yavapai College and preparing to transfer to The University of Arizona, the following course work is recommended. A maximum of 64 credits of community college course work may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at The University of Arizona. Refer to The UA General Catalog or contact the College of Fine Arts (621-1301) for additional information. SECOND LANGUAGE -- This requirement may be met by demonstrating proficiency in a single second language at the fourth semester level. Refer to Examination Policies in The UA General Catalog for additional information on ways in which proficiency may be demonstrated. Course work available at Yavapai College includes the following:

• FRE 101, 102, 201, 202
• GER 101, 102
• ITA 101, 102, 201, 202
• LAT 101, 102
• SPA 101, 102, 201, 202

Note: If students select American Sign Language, German, or Latin, the intermediate level of study may be completed upon transfer to The University of Arizona.

MAJOR REQUIREMENTS -- An audition is required the semester prior to enrollment in the Theatre Arts Department at The University of Arizona. A minimum of 18 credits of theatre arts courses for this major must be completed in residence at The University of Arizona. A maximum of 48 credits of theatre arts course work may be applied to this degree.
